It’s a good thing I didn’t want to attend some Renaissance weekend in Quebec or Utah…they’re over! One of my publishers just forwarded mail to me and this piece of mail was postmarked June 17. (I’ve had mail older than that forwarded to me before.) I don’t mind so much when it’s junk mail, but when it’s mail from kids, I really hate it that publishers don’t forward right away. No kid should have to wait six months for a response to a heart felt letter.

Fortunately, most of my mail from kids comes via e-mail these days. Which reminds me…a few weeks ago I got an e-mail from a really smart girl who told me she needed to write a letter to an author and she wanted to write to me, so she e-mailed me for my address. I even told her that was really smart of her to e-mail me directly to ask for my address rather than go through the publisher — she’ll hear from me MUCH faster. Which reminds me…I really need to answer that letter.

Feeling tired today after the busy theater weekend (BTW, the last ditch publicity efforts made a difference…we had a decent sized audience for yesterday afternoon’s show!)…in fact, Preteen was so exhausted he stayed home and slept all morning. Teen is off school all week, so he and I went out for sushi for lunch.

Forwarded mail…
