There was an interesting article in today’s newspaper. It was about the TV show, Heroes (which I do watch). It said that “what Heroes teaches us is that villains aren’t necessarily evil — sometimes they just believe too strongly that the ends justify the means.” I think that’s the case in a lot of stories I write (No wonder I like Heroes so much! But I have to say, Sylar seems pretty darn evil to me!)
In my Truth About Truman, I certainly don’t want readers to think Hayley or Lilly is evil. That’s part of why I’m writing the book in multiple POV. Who said that “every villain in a hero in his own story?” (I just did a search…I read it most recently in alixwrites LJ.) It’s true…
