Several people have asked me what I’m doing to promote it. Am I having a launch party? A book signing?

I wasn’t really planning on it.

For one thing, I’m still pretty new to the Seattle area. I’m not sure I know people well enough yet to throw a launch party here.

The Five O’Clock Ghost is also a series book. It falls in the middle of the series. Do I really need to get out there and promote a book mid-series?

Okay, here’s the real reason I wasn’t going to promote it: I don’t know how to.

I don’t always know where I get the idea for a book. Sometimes the idea just comes to me…without any rhyme or reason, and without any sort of interesting story behind the story. But I know exactly where the idea for this book came from. There is a story behind the story. The problem is I can never tell the story behind the story…because it would give away the solution to the mystery!

I will tell you this, though…it has something to do with my dad.

And if you’re really smart, you might guess the solution because it’s right there in plain sight on the cover of the book. I specifically asked that a certain “thing” be included in the cover art.

The more I think about this, the more I think what a shame to waste a good story. So I’m offering a FREE Sype visit to the first ten groups that read The Five O’Clock Ghost and want to hear the story. While there is a thread that runs through the entire series, you don’t necessarily have to have read the first three books before you read this one. Each Haunted Library book also stands alone.

I look forward to hearing from you…

Hooray for you! If my life weren’t a disorganized mess and I weren’t a total introvert I’d throw ya a launch party 🙂 Perhaps I can treat you to a grande something-or-other with extra whipped cream sometime! Author author!

Love your books. What’s new on the horizon? I’m grateful for your words. My third grader has read all your books and waiting for more. I’m entering the writing world and pray to reach the hearts of children like you have. Maybe you could make it to Texas some time 😉
